SciCrunch’s Antibody Registry is pleased to announce that its partner, Sino Biological, has begun providing support for unique identifiers (RRIDs) on their antibody product pages. Both Sino Biological and the Antibody Registry are displaying the RRIDs so scientists can consistently find these identifiers, required by many scientific journals for publication.
With the increased focus on reproducible research from the scientific community, more publishers are requiring authors to utilize RRIDs to identify the antibodies used in their research. RRIDs allow researchers to quickly and confidently identify the use of antibodies when reviewing both their own and other’s research. RRIDs provided by The Antibody Registry improve researchers’ ability to reproduce the work of others by streamlining the process of finding the antibody that the authors used. This increases scientific rigor and reproducibility. More at antibodyregistry.org/about.
Sino Biological, Inc. specializes in antibody development and recombinant protein production. All of Sino Biological's products are independently developed and produced. Sino Biological offers pharmaceutical companies and biotechnology firms a variety of recombinant production and assay services for pre-clinical research development work.
The Antibody Registry provides researchers a way to universally identify antibodies used in their research through RRIDs. The Antibody Registry assigns persistent and unique identifiers to individual antibodies so they can be referenced in scientific literature. One identifier is assigned to only one antibody or antibody kit allowing the antibody referenced in a methods section to be identified by other researchers or search engines.
