Background

Flow cytometry is a method to evaluate cell membrane proteins and intracellular proteins as well as peptides and DNA. The principle behind FACS is an antigen-antibody reaction, with the antibodies being fluorescently labelled. There are three fluorescent proteins (R-PE, APC, and PerCP) conjugated to antibodies. Flow cytometry quantification is carried out with intercalating color labels (without the antibody). Flow cytometry antibodies are widely used in cell counting, cell sorting, biomarker detection andprotein engineering.
Biomarker (or biological marker) is a substance which exists in a living organism; which usually is used to measure the transformation of biological system, organ, tissue, subcellular structure or their function. Biomarkers are used in many scientific fields.Biomarkers are also measured the diagnosis of disease, dividing the stage of disease, which can be used to evaluate the effect and safety of the new pharmacy and therapy on human.In medicine, a biomarker can be a traceable marker that is injected into an organism as a means to evaluate organ's function or other aspects of health.
